This exciting course develops knowledge and creative skills in a variety of areas, including textiles, printmaking, fashion and costume design, 3D design, and mixed media. The course combines elements of traditional and contemporary applied design processes. Emphasis is placed on creative experimentation and students use a wide variety of materials, media and skills to develop their ideas.

Drawing; Creative Process; Contextual Studies; Textiles; Fashion/Performance Costume; Printmaking; Digital Media and Photography; Mixed Media; Portfolio Production; Illustration; Personal Development Planning; 3D Design; Personal Projects; Community Arts.

Entry Requirements

2 Highers including Art and Design, English preferred, National 5 English (if not held at Higher); or Foundation Apprenticeship Creative and Digital Media plus Higher Art and Design; or NC Art and Design; or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. For stage 1 you will be required to submit a digital folio of recent work. You will be expected to bring a portfolio of recent work along to interview.
