This course provides students with the opportunity to take part in a wide variety of art and design disciplines, allowing them to discover for themselves where their artistic future lies. It also prepares students for Degree level courses.

The course has a central focus of building a strong portfolio. This will consist of a full range of creative subjects in order to encourage experimentation, knowledge and skills.

The areas covered will include Observational and Development Drawing, Life Drawing; Painting across a variety of Media, Ceramics and Printmaking and a self-directed project with an opportunity to specialise in chosen media and technologies. The course content is subject to change.

Entry Requirements

HNC Art and Design (15 credits). Portfolio.
