Contemporary fine art encompasses a diverse range of approaches to creative expression including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, mixed media, multimedia, video, sound, installation, etc. This exciting course provides an opportunity to develop knowledge and creative skills in contemporary fine art practice.

This newly revalidated programme consists of a variety of projects designed to develop skills using a broad range of 2D and 3D media. Emphasis is on the development of individual ideas through creative experimentation and art and design research.

The course also encourages the development of project planning, communication and entrepreneurial skills.

Contents Include:
Induction Project; Printmaking; 2D Projects; 3D Projects; Theory & Context; Professional Practice and Exhibition Studies; Self Directed Projects; Drawing (including Life Drawing); Artworks for Environments

Entry Requirements

2 Highers including Art and Design, English preferred, National 5 English (if not held at Higher); or Foundation Apprenticeship Creative and Digital Media plus Higher Art; or NC Art and Design; or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6.

You will be required to submit a digital folio of recent work.
