This course will provide a broad introduction to photography, enabling you to acquire the technical and creative skills needed to become a professional photographer. The course is ideal for anyone who would like to improve their basic photographic skills. It prepares you for progression to an HND through the development of both a print and electronic portfolio.

You will study: Introduction to photography; Camera techniques; Studio photography; Portfolio production; Reportage; Portraiture; Image manipulation and print; Basic product imaging; File optimisation; Workflow and creative manipulation; Colour theory; Studio; Darkroom.

Entry Requirements

2 subjects at National 5 including English and a creative subject; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Entry subject to interview and portfolio.
