This demanding practical course has been designed to equip you with practical skills, training and development in voice, singing and music theory, movement and dance practice as well as acting techniques. Working with experienced lecturers and industry practitioners, you will develop the skills and techniques required for a career in musical theatre and performing arts.
You will study: Vocal techniques; Singing skills; Acting; Performance; Musical theatre: graded unit; Professional development for actors.
Optional units include: Ballet; Jazz dance; Movement for musical theatre; Score interpretation; Physical theatre skills for devising and performance; Musical theatre repertoire.
2 Highers including English or Drama; or NC Acting and Theatre Performance; or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview. Audition. You will be required to take part in a group dance workshop, present a monologue (between 1.5-3 minutes) and present a song (2-3 mins).
