On this two-year HND you will be working in the College’s own multi-platform radio station, BOOM Radio where you will develop professional and personal skills in all aspects of radio to maximise your employment opportunities. We also have a great relationship with local stations that offer a range of work experience and input to your course via workshops and guest speakers.

You will study:
Radio music programme production; Podcasting; Visual communication: social media; Interviewing skills; Presentation skills; Working in radio; Digital editing with Adobe Audition; Audio-visual editing with Adobe Premier and After Effects; Scriptwriting; Producing online content; Law, ethics, compliance and the media; Music scheduling; Creative sound production; Branding and imaging; Magazine programme production

Entry Requirements

2 Highers from English, Media or Modern Studies plus 2 subjects at National 5, Media, Music or Music Technology preferred; or NC Creative Industries: Broadcast Media; or NC Sound Production; or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Successful interview ideally with show-reel/portfolio of audio/media work.
