This two-year live performance-based course is an effective stepping stone to advanced entry to music degree programmes and provides a broad range of vocational training if you are looking to pursue a career in the music industry.
Units include: Live Performance Skills; Instrument Study; Songwriting and Composition; Professional Practice for Musicians; Working in the Creative Industries; Music Theory; Stagecraft for Musicians; Keyboard and Vocal Skills; Introduction to Instrumental Instruction; Recording Techniques.
NC Music and Higher English preferred. Entry is by audition and written theory test. Relevant HNC may give you entry to year 2.
Degree courses in Music at Universities of Glasgow, Strathclyde and Edinburgh, Napier University, University of the Highlands and Islands and Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
