This is an enjoyable, exciting and popular course that gives you a broad introduction to the media industry. You will learn about film, television, radio and other audio-visual media. You will analyse films and television shows, study advertising, and produce scripts and newspaper articles. You will also be involved in practical projects where you will work in small production teams to make short films, magazines and develop your own media projects.

Communication Core Skills; Digital Video production and Editing; Feature Writing; Scriptwriting; Media Projects (including Film and Event Organisation); Advertising; Radio; Press and Magazines; Media Production; Social Media; Comics and Graphic Novels; Television; Event Organisation; Film.

Entry Requirements

2 subjects at National 5 including English. Entry subject to interview and short essay.
