This is an Associate Student Degree Programme where year 1 and year 2 of the course is delivered at Edinburgh College; on the achievement of the HND at Edinburgh College you can progress to the 3rd year of the BEng Civil Engineering degree course at Edinburgh Napier University.

This course is designed to teach you the skills required for a technical role in civil engineering. It is perfect if you have the ambition to design and build the bridges roads railways and tunnels of tomorrow. You will acquire knowledge of the latest construction practices by covering a diverse selection of industry-relevant skills such as structural analysis and design and geotechnical engineering. In addition through the Technical Report Route, you will be able to develop to the professional engineering grades of IEng or CEng. If you enter an approved mentoring training scheme you can apply to the Institute of Civil Engineers to become a professional engineer after five years.

Entry Requirements

Higher Maths and Physics at A or B. Entry subject to interview. You will complete three short tasks to establish level of literacy numeracy and drawing ability.
