This full-time course follows on from the introductory course, is mainly workshop-based and will give students the chance to enhance their practical skills in Painting and Decorating to industrial standards. The course content includes Erecting and Dismantling of Access Equipment and Platforms, Papering Walls and Ceilings, Producing Specialist Finishes for Decorative and Architectural Work as well as Working with Spraying Equipment.

Entry Requirements

Introduction to Painting and Decorating preferred but not essential. Interview.

Progression Routes

Students who gain employment could return to complete the PDA/SVQ in Painting and Decorating at SCQF Level 6.
