This course is a launch pad for progression to advanced level NC courses in computer animation or games development by learning how a game is constructed from initial concept to final product. To benefit from this course you should have an interest in playing a variety of computer games, exploring how they work and what makes a game enjoyable. You will enjoy working with groups of people and solving problems and be able to communicate your ideas effectively

Computer games design, media assets and development; Computer gameplay; Character design;
Games programming; Narrative design; 3D modelling; Animation skills; Media production; National 5 Maths; Mobile game development.

The Core Skills of ICT, numeracy, communication, problem solving and working with others will be developed and certified on this course

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 4 including Maths; Interview and pre-entry test.
