Gardyne Campus
The programme includes a variety of subjects at SCQF levels 5 and 6 and a Preparation for HE class. Access students will be expected to study up to 18 hours in college as well as self-directed study of 10 hours per week. Subjects include history, politics, sociology, psychology and geography.
Mandatory subjects: Maths, English/communication, ICT and prep for HE, including developing skills for personal effectiveness and working with others.
No formal entry requirements. This course is designed for individuals who are returning to education after a significant break or are changing career direction to life science. Entry is subject to interview.
Successful completion of the programme will lead to opportunities on degree programmes at local and national universities (e.g. Primary Education, Social Work, Community Learning and Development/Community Education, Criminology, Social Sciences and Humanities courses).
