This course provides learners with an industry recognised qualification and the knowledge and skills necessary to work within the Complementary Therapies industry. The award is suitable for those who wish to pursue a career in Complementary Therapies. This qualification can bring employment opportunities such as working within Voluntary Organisations in Health Care, Health Centres/Clinics and the National Health Services. Work independently on self-employed basis or working within hotel chains and spas.

When these therapies are applied on their own or combined with conventional medicine, complementary therapies may offer a more integrated approach to healing, stress relief and promote a more positive lifestyle and wellbeing approach.

On this course you will learn:

Health and Safety Legislation; Human Anatomy and Physiology; Body Massage Treatments; Clinic Practice; Reflexology; Aromatherapy Massage; Traditional Head Massage.

Entry Requirements

2 relevant Highers, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6.
