SWAP Access to Primary Education is a course which will prepare those wishing to embark on a career as a Primary Teacher, to begin their journey. With possible progression to university, you will study educational theory, play-based theory, human development, STEM with an opportunity to improve in areas such as numeracy, ICT, language and literacy. As part of your placement you will be on placement 1-day a week in primary school setting.

On this course you will cover a range of topics including:

Educational theory; Play-based theory; Human Development; STEM; ICT, Numeracy, Language and Literacy; National 5 Maths.

Entry Requirements

This course is for those who have been out of education for over 5 years. You should have a keen interest to pursue Primary Teaching as a career.
