In this course, you may:

develop skills in producing components using hand fitting techniques; utilise a range of hand and portable power tools for tasks like hand sawing, filing, drilling, and riveting.; work on industrial size lathes to develop turning skills; learn basic welding processes, including Manual Metal Arc (MMA), Metal Inert Gas (MIG), and Metal Active Gas (MAG); gain expertise in working with sheet and plate metal; build transferable Essential Skills, like communication, numeracy, ICT, teamwork, and problem-solving
enhance your IT skills, covering word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and graphics.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 3, preferably including English and Maths, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 3. Interview and aptitude test.
