You will gain the knowledge and skills required to carry out treatments for face, body, nails, as well as make-up application. There is a combination of theory and practical on this course. An element of self-study is also required.

Initially you will practice your newly found skills on each other before progressing onto clients in the Breagh training salons. This course also includes Higher National units in body massage and depilation and prepares you for progression to the Higher National Certificate in Beauty.

Main subject areas include:
Facial techniques and facial treatment packages; eye enhancements; manicure, pedicure and nail finishes; creative current make-up trends; scalp, neck and shoulder massage; body massage treatments; depilation; the human body; commercial work experience; working with others; core skills.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 5 including English and preferably Biology. Ideally you will have completed the SVQ Beauty at SCQF Level 5. Interview.
