The HNC Engineering programme forms part of the suite of Next Generation of HN qualifications currently being developed by SQA. The course will provide you will the opportunity to undertake units in both Electrical and Mechanical Engineering with the following topics covered in the course:

General Engineering:
Engineering Mathematics; Engineering Principles; Project Management; Team Working; Practical Engineering Skills.

Mechanical Engineering:
Engineering Materials; Engineering Statics; Engineering Dynamics; Thermodynamics; Heat Transfer; Pneumatics; Fluid Mechanics.

Entry Requirements

Higher Maths and English, Physics or a technological subject; or Foundation Apprenticeship Engineering; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview.

Relevant HND, degree or employment within the engineering industry.
