This course is ideal if you are interested in progressing to university or developing a high level of knowledge and skills in the area of Mechanical Engineering to make you work-ready for a career in this industry.

During the HND Mechanical Engineering course, you will also have the opportunity to study additional advanced units in mathematics, and at the end of the HND course, providing you meet the articulation requirements, you could progress to year 3 and 4 of a specific BEng (Hons) degree courses at some of our partner universities.

You will study:
Business awareness and CPD; Applied industrial plant maintenance; Engineering Mathematics 3, 4 and 5 (optional); CAD; Three phase; Engineering skills; Plant systems; Process and equipment selection; Heat transfer and fluid mechanics; Strength of materials: advanced; Design for manufacture; Graded Unit 2.

Entry Requirements

HNC Mechanical Engineering. Higher Maths preferred. Interview.
