This ESOL Transitions to Science and Health course is designed for non-native speakers of English, who are interested in a career in the science or health care sector.

Please note: this is NOT an ESOL Programme.

Content Includes:
Science and Health units (SCQF Level 4); Science Practical Skills (SCQF Level 4); Employability units (SCQF Level 5); Personal development units (SCQF Level 5); ESOL Unit (SCQF Level 6); Introduction to British Sign Language (SCQF Level 3); Industry recognised qualifications: REHIS, First Aid, Infection Control and Health & Safety.

Entry Requirements

National 5 ESOL (Minimum of 2 units achieved). An interest in working in the Science or Health Care sector. Interview. You will be required to provide evidence of current English level and you may be required to do an assessment to ensure you are offered a class at the correct level.

Progression Routes

Successful students may progress onto health and social care courses at Glasgow Clyde College.
