This exciting course covers the skills required to enter the hairdressing industry.

This Level 2 qualification will allow you to enter the industry as a junior hairdresser or continue your studies to the next level (Level 3 Hairdressing) to advance your hairdressing skills. You will be provided with up-to-date training in new innovations and techniques with leading product manufacturers and hairdressers.

There is also a work placement programme for one day a week for the full academic year.

What you will learn:

Advising and consulting with clients; Shampoo and condition; Cutting hair; Set, style and dress hair; Colour and lighten hair; Product advice; Health and safety; Team work.

Entry Requirements

2 subjects at National 4 and currently working in the hairdressing industry. Or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4. You will be invited for interview which will include a skills test.
