Content

You will develop your study skills, such as researching, writing reports, analysing data, academic writing and Harvard referencing in preparation for an HNC course the following academic year.

We plan to introduce you to subjects such as prevention of infection, child protection, understanding mental health and mental illness and learning about how the human body functions along with studying our core units of human development, social influences on behaviour and care values and principles.

This course has been designed to ensure that there are no unnecessary barriers to learning or assessment. The individual needs of our students will be taken into account when planning our teaching and assessing. The college will provide support for everyone to develop the study skills you will need.
