This course will give you an introduction to a career in the Events Industry. It covers a wide range of general events, business and specific industry-related topics to develop your knowledge and skills in events planning. The events industry is diverse and exciting, offering many areas for employment, across the UK and the world. Much of the course is about planning for events with plenty of practical elements to provide hands-on experience.

You'll study:

Events organisation; Contribute to an event; Events costing: an introduction; Introduction to marketing for events; Working safely; Service of food and drink; Integrated project; Numeracy; IT solutions for administrators; Local hospitality provision; Alcoholic beverages: an introduction; Customer care for hospitality and events; Events industry: an overview; Food hygiene for the hospitality industry; Hospitality events; and Employability skills.

Entry Requirements

1 subject at National 5 plus 3 at National 4 including English and Maths. Interview.
