Introduces key debates and issues in Scottish History from the 18th to 20th Centuries and how to use sources available to historians of Scotland. Learners will be expected to study up to 3 hours in college as well as self-directed study of 8 hours per week. Individual PDAs can be self-funded however, four PDAs (Psychology, Sociology, Politics and History) can be undertaken to achieve an overall HNC Social Sciences award over 2 years.

Entry Requirements

As this course is at SCQF Level 7 (first year undergraduate level) applicants are required to demonstrate an ability to work at this academic level. This can be through proven prior study, employment and workplace practice or through a diagnostic assessment undertaken at college prior to entry.
