This course provides an excellent induction to the hospitality industry.
Learners will undertake a range of practical and theoretical units including Food and Drink Operations; Cost and Control in Hospitality; Food Hygiene; Customer Care Excellence; Hospitality Industry; Leading a Hospitality Team; Alcoholic Beverages; Barista Skills; Food Hygiene and Work Placement.
The practical aspects of the course are facilitated in the Café Bar, Kitchen and Training Restaurant with a fully operational bar providing a realistic learning environment.
Learners provide a breakfast and a lunch service to develop the necessary skills and knowledge required to achieve this qualification.
Subjects at National 5, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5.
