This course introduces you to the core principles involved in deploying and maintaining IT network infrastructures which are the backbone of modern businesses and organisations.

You'll learn about a variety of technologies such as Cloud Infrastructure, Basic Computing Concepts, Internet of Things and Cyber Security. These together with the essential meta skills required for the workforce of the future will prepare you for employment in this exciting sector.

Mandatory units are: Digital skills; and Professional practice in computing.

Optional units will include: Network infrastructure; Cloud computing; Cyber security; Internet of things; and Emerging technologies.

Entry Requirements

1 relevant Higher plus 2 subjects at National 5, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview.

Relevant HND course or entry to a range of university degrees.
