HND Counselling is designed to provide the opportunity to further develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes relevant to the theory and skills practice of working with people and counselling within an encouraging and supportive environment. This qualification covers areas such as essential counselling skills, knowledge of theories and professional values.

This full time course includes 2 twilight sessions per week, 3pm - 9pm plus attendance at regular Saturday workshops.

Entry Requirements

HNC Counselling. Applicants are required to undertake a short written task to provide evidence of learning ability.

You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.

Progression Routes

Relevant degree or employment in mental health and voluntary sectors.
