With a continued demand for staff with advanced administration and IT skills, and an average annual salary in Scotland of over £28,000 for an office manager, and specialist administrators earning over £23,000 a year, there are good opportunities for those wanting to enter the profession. The second year builds on the HNC skills you gained in first year and will give you the knowledge, experience and qualifications to succeed in an administrative or office-based role. It will give you what you need to enter the business world or to progress to second year of a university course.

Entry Requirements

1 Higher plus 3 subjects at National 5; or relevant Foundation Apprenticeship; or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview.

Progression Routes

Direct entry (at the discretion of the university) to third year of a BA (Hons) degree in a related subject.
