This short, full-time SCQF Level 4 Bakery course is an ideal starting point for anyone with an interest in baking or working in a kitchen.
The course will focus on practical skills, at an introductory level and will feature hands-on, fun and varied activities with expert instruction from highly experienced Hospitality and Tourism Academy (HATA) Lecturers.
The course will be run over 3 days each week. The core units cover baking, bread-making, cake decorating and pastry. Time will be spent on understanding preparation, cookery processes and food hygiene and you will get the chance to work on developing a product of your own.
2 subjects at National 4 including English; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4.
