This qualification is an exciting opportunity to gain practical work experience and theoretical knowledge, which meets the needs of employers. It will prepare you for further training in SVQ Social Services and Healthcare.
The course consists of an National Progression Award (NPA) in Social Services and Healthcare and several short courses which will enhance your employment prospects such as Prevention of Infection and Elementary Food Hygiene.
No formal entry requirements. You must be aged 17 years of age at the start of the course.
You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.
