This course will provide you with a broad introduction to the world of care. You will cover a wide range of topics from mental health and psychology to care practice and sociology. Throughout the course you will develop important skills in literacy and numeracy, in preparation for further study or employment.

There may be an opportunity for a short work experience placement.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 4 including English.

You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.

Progression Routes

Successful completion of this course may lead to progression onto a level 6 course such as Health and Social Care (Level 6).
