The PDA in Events is aimed at employees in industry or those who are unable to undertake a full-time programme. The professional development award develops knowledge and skills of the main occupational areas in the events industry increasing employment opportunities or enhancing already established skills at supervisory level.
This PDA has been developed in partnership with industry and is therefore fit for purpose for today’s vibrant, dynamic sector. It helps employers meet skills gaps and allows learners to gain relevant knowledge and skills allowing for career progression. It is also designed for those in training who are seeking employment in the industry.
You will study 3 units totalling 4 credits at SCQF level 7.
What you will study:
Event Industry: An Introduction; Event Budgeting and Funding; Event Legislation: Safety and Licensing.
1 Higher, or 3 subjects at National 5, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6 in Events, or relevant work experience.
