The aim of this course is to enable those working in a care environment to improve their working practice by developing their skills, knowledge, and understanding of their role in the workplace. This course will allow you to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
Subjects Include:
Communicate with and complete records for individuals; Support the health and safety of yourself and individuals; Develop your knowledge and practice; Ensure your own actions support the care, protection and wellbeing of individuals.
Intermediate Certificate in Health and Social Care. Candidates must be working in a care environment.
You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.
This course will provide the opportunity for individuals in a supervisory role to progress onto higher level study in their workplace such and SVQ 3 Social Services or continue on at college onto Advanced Certificate Health and Social Care or HNC: Social Services SCQF Level 7- based on academic reference
