During this course you will learn the importance of researching, planning and preparing make-up and hair looks for the fashion and media industries. You will design and produce your final looks and produce folios of your work. Your learning will be a blend of in college and on line learning. You will be required to source models for your final looks and will participate in a work placement. You will also create a creative current look for a competition.

Topics Include:
Day Make-up and Basic Corrective Make-up; Bridal and Evening Make-up; Shampooing, Conditioning & Scalp Massage; Blow Drying Techniques; Face Painting; Hair, Beauty and Make-up: Competition; Technical Skills; Academic Skills; Special Effects; Styling for a Total Look; Creative Current Make-up Trends; Style, Dress and Finish Hair; Fantasy Make-up and Hair; Styling and Dressing Long Hair.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 5 including English. Interview.
