In this challenging course, you will take part in an exciting and comprehensive programme of specialist Art Glass studies. The course is project-based, and you'll be concentrating on designing, exploring and making, drawing and personal expression.

Although you will learn making skills on the course, it’s an advantage to have experience in working in 2D and 3D and also making skills in different media.

This course offers you a broad education with a balance between creative, practical and core skills.

You'll study:

Developmental Drawing; Creative Process; Art and Design Project; Design Context; Portfolio Production; Painting and Firing Glass; Leaded Glass Work; Glass Fusing Techniques; Glass Slumping Techniques; Glass Casting; Flame Working.

This course offers the only HNC certified glass work course in Scotland.

Entry Requirements

Higher Art and Design plus 2 subjects at National 5, or relevant NC or NQ course or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview. Portfolio.
