Introduction to Social Care (Level 5)

This introduction level course aims to provide you with the skills and knowledge required to pursue a career in social care as a Care Assistant or Support Worker, or to continue your studies with the second part of the NQ Social Care and Wellbeing (Level 5) course that runs from January to June. The course covers many aspects of the caring role with a range of service users.

You will study a range of social care units that incorporate the core care subjects, core skills and other relevant care subjects.

These will include:

Human development and behaviour; Families in modern society; Working in health and social care
Care: Values and principles; Protection and safeguarding

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 4. Personal statement, interview and supporting reference.
