This NC Engineering Systems course covers the fundamental principles of electrical and mechanical engineering and will equip you with the knowledge and understanding required for further study or work as an apprentice.

Content:
Core units:
Communication core skill unit; Mathematics: Technician 1; Engineering: Applying Information Technology.

Mandatory units:
Engineering materials; Graphical engineering communications; Electrical principles; Single and 3-phase principles; Engineering systems.

Optional units:
Engineering; CAD for engineers; Pneumatics and hydraulics; Programmable logic controllers; Engineering Dynamics: An Introduction.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 5 including English, Maths and a science or technological subject. Interview.
