Thinking of a career in the IT Industry? There are still many openings available in computing and IT at all levels, despite the economy. This course will allow you to study towards an up-to-date qualification in many of the skills that are in demand for many different types of career in computing, or information and communication technologies.

This is a hands-on course which will allow you to study towards an up-to-date qualification, covering many of the skills that are in high demand for a range of different careers in the software development/programming sector of the computer industry. These include developing skills in C# and Java, System Design, Android Development, XML, Event Driven Programming, Databases and Project Management.

You will be required to attend college on both a Tuesday and a Thursday evening from 6-9 pm, for two academic years.

Entry Requirements

1 relevant Higher plus 3 subjects at National 5 including Computing Science, or relevant NQ, or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview.
