This programme is for professionals caring for patients with life-threatening or incurable illness. Students will expand, enhance and develop their knowledge through reviewing a broad range of published literature related to Palliative Care. There is a focus on non-malignant disease, frailty and multi-morbidity to reflect the changing patient demographic.
Students will further develop their skills in critical analysis of core concepts along with symptom control, leadership, communication and holistic care. Students’ expertise will be enhanced by projects that will take place in their own clinical environment. This part-time online distance learning (ODL) programme will support graduates in becoming clinical and academic leaders in the field of Palliative Care with a qualification from a world top 100 university.
You can exit after 12 months with PgCert Palliative Care.
You can exit after 24 months with PgDip Palliative Care.
A relevant education qualification at Bachelor’s level 2, in medicine (mbchb or equivalent), nursing (BN, BSc or equivalent), pharmacology, physiotherapy or other healthcare professions and/or professional registration. Relevant clinical experience
Candidates will need to provide two professional/academic references confirming their suitability for the course.
