Content

This course is designed to allow students to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and support their work with children and young people. The course is run by highly skilled assessors with extensive experience in all aspects of working with children that will support the student in their learning of underpinning childhood theory that supports their work in practice.

Units are work based and assessors will engage with the student and their employer to enable ongoing assessments to take place on their practice. The units of study on this course will be chosen in conjunction with the student and their employer to ensure that they reflect their workplace setting.

Entry Requirements

To apply you should have six months experience of working in a childcare or education setting and have a good standard of written communication.

SVQ 4 Social Services (Children and Young People) or BA Childhood Practice.
