This course is designed to meet the needs of students wishing to pursue a career in the Engineering industry and is a natural progression route from the NC Engineering Award currently offered at LCC.

The SVQ level 2 award is a mandatory element of the Modern Apprenticeship Engineering Framework.

The course is made up of two major elements:

1. Wide range of workshop based activities designed to meet the needs of the Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) Performing Engineering Operations Level II Award
2. SQA units which develop an excellent underpinning knowledge in conjunction with the SVQ Level II Award.

This course gives the student an excellent integrated qualification and training to industry standard drawing on and developing previous knowledge gained on the NC programme.
