This is a broad based National Certificate course in art and design course which allows you to build a competitive portfolio to meet the national standard required for entry into higher education subjects or entry into art and design based employment.

You will explore a range of subjects to enable you to consider your next course or career steps. This is an interesting programme with a mixture of practical and related theoretical content that will allow you to explore a range of disciplines.

Subjects include:
Life and analytical drawing; Digital media and design for print; Sketchbook development; Printmaking; Digital Media; Essential skills; Development of projects exploring personal themes.; Sketchbook development; Exploritory media handling; Print making and illustration; Photography; Essential skills in visual and professional presentation.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 5 including English and Art and Design. Interview and portfolio of work containing at least 10 pieces showing a range of your work.
