This course aims to further develop your language skills so that you have a better understanding of the English language. You will be able to process information more easily and will be able to apply your knowledge of English in practical and relevant contexts. This course is undertaken either in a morning, afternoon or evening session lasting approximately 3 hours per week for 36 weeks.
You will be assessed on an ongoing basis using practical assessments and assignments. There is no final examination.
The course consists of two units:
ESOL for Everyday Life: While studying this unit you will develop the language skills needed for everyday life in routine personal, social and transactional contexts.
ESOL in Context: While studying this unit you will develop the language skills needed for routine work- and study-related contexts.
Access 2. If no certificate is available then candidates must undertake an ESOL placement test.
