This course is mainly a practical, skills-based course offering the opportunities to work as part of a production team creating television documentaries, drama music videos, adverts, and online programming. It also provides training in the production of high-quality, imaginative stills photography. This course gives you a platform to start your career in the creative industries. It focuses on the essential skills necessary to work in the TV and film industries. These include pre-production, camera operation, sound recording, lighting and editing. The course includes Photography, which covers Single Lens Reflex (SLR) camera techniques and an introduction to Photoshop. It also fully explores the links between the still and moving image.

Content:
You will learn the basics in the production of short films and the development of technical skills, including:

Lighting, sound, camera and editing; Production paperwork; Scripting; Photography.

You will also focus on Soft Skills and etiquette that are essential within the creative industry.
