During this exciting multi-disciplinary HND, you’ll study core engineering concepts along with electrical and mechanical engineering, to give you the skills you need to become a flexible and creative engineer. If you complete this course successfully, you can go onto further study at university, do an engineering apprenticeship or use your knowledge in a large range of engineering roles in industries as diverse as telecommunications, manufacturing, aerospace and robotics.

Application of programmable logic controllers; Pneumatics and hydraulics; Communication: Practical skills; Electrical machine principles; Engineering communication; Engineering measurement and systems monitoring; Engineering mathematics 1; Mechatronic system elements; Principles of engineering systems; DC and AC principles; Three phase systems; Engineering systems: Graded unit 1 examination.

Entry Requirements

Higher Maths or Physics, or NC Engineering Systems (Level 6), or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6.
