If you are excited by the prospect of organising, coordinating, and creating a wide range of events and conferences then this is the course for you. It will provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge required to pursue a career in this exciting and vibrant industry. You will also have the opportunity to participate in many college and external events. The course will aid the development of transferable skills which are applicable to further study and improve the skills and knowledge required to provide high quality customer care and enhance your employability.

You will learn through a mixture of role play, practical work and experience, and theoretical learning. You will be expected to participate and contribute in class and study out with class as needed, including independent and self-directed study.

You will study:
Organising an event; Human resource management; Behavioural skills for business; Live performance events; Events industry: an introduction; Marketing; Event budgeting and funding; Event legislation; Live performance events; Food and beverage events.

Entry Requirements

1 relevant Higher; or Advanced Certificate: Tourism with Events; or relevant qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview.
