Content

This course is aimed at those who wish to work in the automotive, mechanical, electrical, fabrication and welding, or manufacturing engineering industries and focuses on improving broad-based practical skills and knowledge with a hands-on approach throughout.

You will gain both the SQA Engineering Skills and the EAL Level 1 Engineering and Technology qualifications.

You will study:
Health and safety; Automotive maintenance; Motorcycle maintenance; Understanding technical drawings; Engineering material and measurement; Bench skills; Electrical installation; Information computing technology; Problem solving; Working with others; Introduction to working in engineering; Introduction to automotive maintenance; Introduction to engineering project; Introduction to forming and assembling materials; Introduction to motorcycle maintenance; Employability skills; Communications; Numeracy.




Entry Requirements

National 3 English, Maths and a technological subject. 1 of these at National 4 preferred. Interview.
