Gardyne Campus
This course is aimed primarily at learners who wish to work within the horticultural industry or wish to progress to other related qualifications in the land-based sector. The course is built around horticultural units, which also include some hard landscaping and plant production units. Students will gain research and reading skills, be encouraged to explain their ideas and develop finer practical skills than they would on level 4 & 5 courses.
Areas of study include:
Soil science; Botany; Sustainability in horticulture; Garden design and surveying; Plant propagation; Plant retail.
2 subjects at National 5; or NC Horticulture; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Applicants with other relevant experience and a genuine interest in the industry will be considered.
