Off Campus
This course aims to develop knowledge of providing patient care. Learners will study the professional standards and the psychological and sociological aspects of care. They will gain a good understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the human body and both mental and physical disease processes. A work placement will be undertaken.
Part-time opportunity: For those already employed in a health or social care setting, there may be an opportunity to undertake this programme part-time in the evening with your employer's endorsement.
2 relevant Highers; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. A qualification in Biology or Anatomy and Physiology would be an advantage. Interview and diagnostic test.
