This course gives learners the opportunity to experience a variety of subjects in child, health and social care including: health and well-being, social influences, human development and behaviour, values and principles in care and play in early years in addition to communication, numeracy and information technology skills. This course is designed to develop academic skills, allowing applicants to progress to further study.
No formal entry requirements however applicants should demonstrate a genuine interest in a career in care. Applicants will be invited to attend a session which will include further information on the course and a selection interview.
Progression to other college care courses may be possible on successful completion of the course.
