The fashion industry is the second largest polluter of the planet, which means designers play a vital part in ensuring the future sustainability of both the industry and the environment. Recycling, utilising technologies and ensuring quality are all vital components of progressive and sustainable fashion practice. This course will guide students through the production of a sustainable fashion garment or accessory, from concept, to development, manufacture and production of the finished piece, all the while focussing on sustainability at each stage of the process. Guidance will allow students to build a greater understanding of the fashion design process and embedding sustainability in everything they do.
